Great Wall Shootout Players, Coaches and Supporters,
The biggest and warmest of welcomes to Beijing for the 18th TIM CALLAHAN GREAT WALL SHOOTOUT! This promises to be a fantastic weekend and we are extremely excited to get everything underway on Thursday afternoon. As is traditionally the case, our whole Dragon community has really come together to pull this weekend off and I extend my thanks to all those involved and hope you guys fully enjoy every minute of it!
Tim Callahan, former PE teacher and Varsity Boys coach at ISB, started this event back in the early 2000’s, with the aim of bringing international schools together for a competitive mid-season tournament on Thanksgiving weekend. We are hoping that the bleachers will be packed this weekend and that there will be an electric atmosphere in both gyms to celebrate all our student athletes. Of course, there will be some fierce competition, but we hope that everyone takes some time to connect with athletes from other schools, get to know a few new people, and at the same time bring your passion for the game of basketball and share that with our whole community.
